Organizational Structure

 

The Circle – Caring for Children is a private limited company registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP). The organization is governed by a Board of Directors, which provides strategic oversight and ensures alignment with its mission of delivering world-class therapeutic and academic support for children with developmental and learning challenges.

 

Senior Leadership:

 

Chairman of the Board – providing strategic direction, vision, and governance.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) & Chief Speech and Language Pathologist – responsible for overall management, service delivery, and professional excellence in therapy.

Head of Academics – leading the academic program, including the recently launched Orton-Gillingham based curriculum.

Together, these three form the Management Committee, which oversees service delivery, growth, and the continuous introduction of international best practices.

 

Branch Network

 

Head Office (DHA Phase 8, Karachi): Main centre, housing therapy and academic programs, training initiatives, and management offices.

Branch Office (Sindhi Muslim Society, Karachi): A centrally located facility managed by a Clinical Supervisor, ensuring quality therapy and support services closer to families in the city centre.

Leaders

Shahrukh Hasan is an MBA from the IBA Karachi and is the Group Managing Director of the Jang group - Pakistan's largest media conglomerate. He is also the Managing Director of the non-for-profit Foundation, MKRF. During his time at the Jang Group he has spearheaded hugely impactful national and international campaigns such as ‘Aman ki Asha’, (on normalisation of relations with India, in partnership with The Times of India Group), Zara Socheye (a campaign on education), Milkar (an awareness campaign on mental health, in partnership with the British Asian Trust) and many others. Shahrukh is also Chairman of the board of The Senior Circle, an assisted living facility for senior citizens. He is President of Media & Broadcasting of the Commonwealth Club and serves on the board of The National Academy of Performing Arts (NAPA)

Sadaf Mateen is the Co-Founder, CEO & Chief Speech - Language Pathologist of The Circle - Caring for Children. She has a Masters in Speech - Language Pathology and Audiology and over 25 years of experience in the field of allied health. She is on the advisory board of a massive rehabilitation and teaching initiative for children with special needs by Caretech. Sadaf is an international affiliate of ASHA (American Speech and Hearing Association). She has written extensively on neurologic communication disorders, evidence-based practices and the need for rehabilitation and inclusion of children with special needs. Sadaf Mateen is a renowned and experienced therapist for children with various disabilities including deafness, autism, late language emergence. She has introduced and applied best practices to help children achieve their potential and their rightful place in society.

Shazia Kamal has a Masters of Business Administration from the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS). After having served corporate and academic organizations in Pakistan, Canada and Switzerland, Shazia discovered her true passion to be in Education. Shazia has been associated with The Citizens Foundation, Pakistan. She is currently providing oversight to the academic portfolio at The Circle – School of Literacy, Numeracy and Life Skills. Shazia is a trained Orton-Gillingham practitioner, making her skilled to teach students and train teachers in structured literacy. Her commitment to student success and experience in curriculum design, teacher professional development, and family engagement has guided her professional journey, and assisted education programs at scale as well as individual students to reach their potential.
